Have the best eight hours of your life on this float trip down the mighty Colorado River. It all starts with a flight up from Sedona, over Oak Creek Canyon, and past the Painted Desert, to your destination at the Glen Canyon Dam. Then you’re in for a real treat as you float on a raft for 15 scenic miles down the Colorado, including a lunch about halfway down. Afterward, you’ll be flown back to Sedona where you can re-lived your memories by looking at all the pictures you just took.

Escape from dry and dusty (though admittedly beautiful) Sedona with this getaway to the Colorado River. It’s an eight-hour rafting excursion that will have you absolutely begging for more!

The fun begins as you board a plane en route to the Glen Canyon Dam. This northward flight will take you over Oak Creek Canyon, one of the top scenic driving spots in the country; past the two-mile-tall San Francisco Peaks and cinder cone Sunset Crater; and right by the incomparable stratified rock in the Painted Desert.

Once you’ve reached the dam, however, things get even better! You’ll hop into a raft and float downstream for 15 miles. This relaxing five-hour voyage will allow you to behold the majestic birds of prey in the sky, as well as the petroglyphs left over by ancient Indian civilizations. It also features a picnic-style lunch right on the Colorado River’s banks.

So if you’re looking for a wonderful, family-friendly experience, take this float excursion. It’s simultaneously peaceful and breathtaking, and will leave you positively reinvigorated.
